Coar nasce nel Dicembre 1963 con il nome originale di Aurum, distinguendosi all'inizio nella produzione di catene vuote e di targhe, i così detti "bracciali targa". In seguito l'azienda ha ampliato la tipologia di prodotti fabbricando dapprima le corde massicce e le corde vuote, nella cui lavorazione si è contraddistinta come una delle prime fabbriche. Inizialmente impegnata nella produzione di oro e argento, l'azienda ha concentrato in seguito il suo core business per il 90% nell'argento. Nel corso degli anni la Aurum si è dapprima trasformata in Coar snc per poi giungere all'attuale configurazione aziendale che vede nella CDI (Coar Distribuzione Internazionale) il ramo operativo dell'azienda specializzato nella produzione e vendita di catene e in Coar 56AR il settore finanziario - amministrativo. Oggi l´Azienda vanta una distribuzione in tutto il Nord e Centro America, in Brasile, nell' Est Europa, Francia ed Estremo Oriente. Partecipa alle più importanti fiere del settore tra le quali Arezzo, Vicenza, Hong Kong e Bangkok.

Today the company has distribution throughout North and Central America, in Brazil, in Eastern Europe, France and the Far East.
